Marathon Club now runs every Tuesday 3:30pm - 4:00pm for the whole school. The intention is for participants to run or walk the distance of a half or full marathon (42 kilometres!) over a period
of several weeks, possibly stretching into the next Autumn term to give sufficient time.
Each lap of 500 metres will be recorded on each runner’s card to build up a total distance each session, so if 4 laps are completed in the first week, 2 km will have been covered.
The emphasis will be on fun and fitness with the added challenge of achieving the full marathon distance! We would like to involve as many adults as possible, so you are welcome to join us and run, jog or walk the course each week alongside children, staff and friends. It would be a great incentive to the children to see as many parents/carers involved as possible and to boost fitness for all concerned.
